Modifying Workforms

AGCat provides 20 blank workform templates: ten user-defined bibliographic workforms (Bib 1 through Bib 10), two user-defined authority workforms (Auth 1, Auth 2), and 17 preformatted workforms for record formats that are used for the creation of original cataloging. You can modify individual templates to provide more detail and include local tag information.

To modify a default workform:

  1. From the Edit menu, select Workform.
    • The Workform Maintenance dialog displays.

  1. Highlight the name of the workform you wish to modify in the list shown, then click the OK button to open the selected workform. (Click the Cancel button to cancel your selection and close the Workform Maintenance dialog without opening a workform for editing.)
    • The selected workform displays in an Editor window.
  2. Use the Edit and Insert menu commands and/or Toolbar buttons to add or delete fields, indicators and subfields, as desired (see Working with Fields and Subfields for details).
  3. When all desired changes to the workform have been made, select Quick Save from the File menu to save your changes.

NOTE: Modified workforms are saved to your local drive and can therefore vary between workstations.
