USER ADMINISTRATION
Chapter 1. INTRODUCTION
Login Modes
You must be granted User Administrator permissions in order to view, add, edit or delete user accounts. Additionally, up to four user types (login modes) are recognized by the system: Customer SuperUser, Regional SuperUser, Library SuperUser, and Regular Staff. Your user type determines the specific libraries and user types for which you can perform User Administration functions:
- Customer Superuser – Can view, add, edit and delete user accounts
for all libraries in the system as follows:
- Can view all user accounts
- Can edit user accounts for other Customer SuperUsers
- Can perform all account management functions (add, edit, delete) for library patrons, Regular Staff users, Library SuperUsers and Regional SuperUsers
- Regional Superuser – can view, add, edit and delete user accounts
for the group of libraries assigned to their account by the Customer SuperUser
as follows:
- Can view all user accounts
- Can edit user accounts for library patrons, Regular Staff users, and Library SuperUsers
- Can perform all account management functions (add, edit, delete) for library patrons and Regular Staff only for the “Home Location” associated with their user account
- Library Superuser – Can view, add, edit and delete user accounts
for the library with which their account is associated as follows:
- Can view all user accounts
- Can perform account management functions (add, edit, delete) for library patrons, Regular Staff users, and other Library SuperUsers only
- Regular Staff – Can view, add, edit and delete user accounts for
the library with which their account is associated as follows:
- Can view all user accounts
- Can perform account management functions (add, edit, delete) for library patrons and Regular Staff users only.
