Performing Authority Control Processing

Authority Control processing is initiated from the Full Record Display of the desired bibliographic record.

To perform Authority Control processing:

1. Use Simple Search or Advanced Search to access the Full Record Display for the desired bibliographic record.
2. Select Authorize Bib Record from the Staff Functions menu.
   • The system searches the authority records in your validation hierarchy (see The Authority Validation Hierarchy for details), and displays the processed bibliographic record, in MARC format, in an additional browser window.
