Chapter 7. SETTING CIRCULATION PARAMETERS

   

 


Deleting Fine Limits

You can delete fine limits for any currently established library, branch or collection for your VERSO system. You may selectively delete the fine limits for specific patron category/material type combinations, or, you may delete all fine limits for a selected location.

To delete selected fine limits:

  1. From the Circ Admin menu, select Circulation Parameters - Fine Limits.
    • The Modify Fine Limits - Select Location screen displays.
    • The Select Location screen shows an indentured listing of all currently defined libraries, branches and collections for your VERSO system. Locations for which one or more specific parameters have been specified are preceded by the notation “-- ACTIVE ->.”
  2. From the Select Location screen, click the name of the active library, branch or collection from which you wish to delete fine limits.
    • The Modify Fine Limits screen for the selected location displays in an additional browser window.
    • The Modify Fine Limits screen shows the currently established fine limits for each patron category/material type combination.
    • If desired, you can reconfigure, sort and filter table content (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
  3. Delete the currently specified fine limit in the text box for each material type from which you wish to delete fine limits, then click the Submit button to submit your changes.
    • The Modify Fine Limits screen refreshes to show your changes.
  4. Repeat step 3 to delete fine limits from additional patron categories.
  5. When fine limits for all desired patron category/material type combinations have been deleted, click the Close button on the Modify Fine Limits screen to close the screen and return to the Select Location screen.
  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 to delete fine limits for additional locations.

To delete all fine limits for a location:

  1. From the Circ Admin menu, select Circulation Parameters - Fine Limits.
    • The Modify Fine Limits - Select Location screen displays.
    • The Select Location screen shows an indentured listing of all currently defined libraries, branches and collections for your VERSO system. Locations for which one or more specific parameters have been specified are preceded by the notation “-- ACTIVE ->.”
  2. From the Select Location screen, click the name of the active library, branch or collection from which you wish to delete fine limits.
    • The Modify Fine Limits screen for the selected location displays in an additional browser window.
    • The Modify Fine Limits screen shows the currently established fine limits for each patron category/material type combination.
    • If desired, you can reconfigure, sort and filter table content (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
  3. Click the Delete Parameters for This Location button.
    • The Modify Fine Limits screen closes, and the Select Location screen refreshes to show the location is no longer active.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to delete fine limits for additional locations.
