Chapter 7. SETTING CIRCULATION PARAMETERS
Deleting Loan Periods
You can delete loan periods for any currently established library, branch or collection for your VERSO system. You may selectively delete the loan period for specific patron category/material type combinations, or, you may delete all loan periods for a selected location.
To delete selected loan periods:
- From the Circ Admin menu, select Circulation Parameters - Loan
Periods.
- The Modify Loan Periods - Select Location screen displays.
- The Select Location screen shows an indentured listing of all currently defined libraries, branches and collections for your VERSO system. Locations for which one or more specific parameters have been specified are preceded by the notation “-- ACTIVE ->.”
- From the Select Location screen, click the name of the active library,
branch or collection from which you wish to delete loan periods.
- The Modify Loan Periods screen for the selected location displays in an additional browser window.
- The Modify Loan Periods screen shows the currently established loan periods for each patron category/material type combination.
- If desired, you can reconfigure, sort and filter table content (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
- Delete the currently specified loan period from the text box for each
material type from which you wish to delete the loan period, then click the
Submit button to submit your changes.
- The Modify Loan Periods screen refreshes to show your changes.
- Repeat step 3 to delete loan periods from additional patron categories.
- When loan periods for all desired patron category/material type combinations have been deleted, click the Close button on the Modify Loan Periods screen to close the screen and return to the Select Location screen.
- Repeat steps 2 through 5 to delete loan periods for additional locations.
To delete all loan periods for a location:
- From the Circ Admin menu, select Circulation Parameters - Loan
Periods.
- The Modify Loan Periods - Select Location screen displays.
- The Select Location screen shows an indentured listing of all currently defined libraries, branches and collections for your VERSO system. Locations for which one or more specific parameters have been specified are preceded by the notation “-- ACTIVE ->.”
- From the Select Location screen, click the name of the active library,
branch or collection from which you wish to delete loan periods.
- The Modify Loan Periods screen for the selected location displays in an additional browser window.
- The Modify Loan Periods screen shows the currently established loan periods for each patron category/material type combination.
- If desired, you can reconfigure, sort and filter table content (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
- Click the Delete Parameters for This Location button.
- The Modify Loan Periods screen closes, and the Select Location screen refreshes to show the location is no longer active.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to delete loan periods for additional locations.
