Chapter 4. DEFINING LOCATIONS AND COLLECTIONS
Viewing Collection Statistics
Collection statistics show the number of items in your VERSO database that are associated with each collection.
To view Collection statistics:

On the Locations Collections - Collections screen, click the Stats button.
- The Location Collection Stats screen displays in an additional browser window. The date on which the statistics report was requested is shown at the top of the screen.
- The Location Collection Stats screen provides the following information
for each collection:
- Seq - the display sequence for the collection
- Label - the name of the collection
- Status - indicates whether or not the associated collection is currently Active or Inactive
- Locs/Coll. with Cost - the total number of items in your VERSO database for each collection listed for which a Cost is included in the item record for the related items
- Value – the total dollar value of all items included in the Items with Cost field (based on the value specified in the Cost field of the item record)
- Items with Default Cost - the total number of items in your VERSO database for each collection listed for which no Cost is specified in the item record and for which the specified default value for items of the associated material types is used in determining value
- Value of Items with Default Cost - shows the total dollar value of all items included in the Items with no Cost field (based on the default value for the material type of the associated items)
- Total Value of Items by Locs/Coll. – The sum of the Value and Default Value fields for each collection in the list.
- If desired, use the Start Date and End Date text boxes to limit statistics
to items in your collections during a specified period.
- Enter the starting date for the period for which you wish to view statistics in the Start Date text box. Enter the Start Date using the format “MM/DD/YYYY”, i.e., “01/01/2019.”
- Enter the ending date for the period for which you wish to view statistics in the End Date text box. Enter the End Date using the format “MM/DD/YYYY”, i.e., “01/31/2019.”
NOTE: Be sure to include the slashes “/” when entering the Start Date and End Date. Do not include alphabetic characters when entering the Start Date and End Date.
- Click the Submit button. The Location Collection Stats screen refreshes to show statistics for items in your collections during the specified date range.
- If desired, you may:
- Print a copy of the Library Collection statistics report (see Printing Circulation Parameters for details)
- Save a copy of the Library Collection statistics report to your local workstation (see Saving Circulation Parameters for details)
- Email a copy of the Library Collection statistics report to yourself or to another party (see Emailing Circulation Parameters for details)
- Click the Close button to close the Location Collection Stats screen and return to the Locations Collections - Collections screen.
