Chapter 4. DEFINING LOCATIONS AND COLLECTIONS
Viewing Library Statistics
Library statistics show the number of items in your VERSO database that are associated with each library.
To view Library statistics:

On the Locations Collections - Libraries screen, click the Stats button.
- The Location Stats screen displays in an additional browser window. The date on which the statistics report was requested is shown at the top of the screen.
- The Location Stats screen provides the following information for each
library:
- Seq - the display sequence for the library
- Label - the name of the library
- Status - indicates whether or not the associated library is currently Active or Inactive
- Items with Cost - the total number of items in your VERSO database for each library listed for which a Cost is included in the item record for the related items
- Value – the total dollar value of all items included in the Items with Cost field (based on the value specified in the Cost field of the item record)
- Items with no Cost - the total number of items in your VERSO database for each library listed for which no Cost is specified in the item record and for which the specified default value for items of the associated material types is used in determining value
- Default Value - shows the total dollar value of all items included in the Items with no Cost field (based on the default value for the material type of the associated items)
- Total Value – The sum of the Value and Default Value fields for each library in the list.
- If desired, use the Start Date and End Date text boxes to limit statistics
to items in your collections during a specified period.
- Enter the starting date for the period for which you wish to view statistics in the Start Date text box. Enter the Start Date using the format “MM/DD/YYYY”, i.e., “01/01/2019.”
- Enter the ending date for the period for which you wish to view statistics in the End Date text box. Enter the End Date using the format “MM/DD/YYYY”, i.e., “01/31/2019.”
Be sure to include the slashes “/” when entering the Start Date and End Date. Do not include alphabetic characters when entering the Start Date and End Date.
- Click the Submit button. The Location Stats screen refreshes to show statistics for items in your collections during the specified date range.
- If desired, you may:
- Print a copy of the Library statistics report (see Printing Circulation Parameters for details)
- Save a copy of the Library statistics report to your local workstation (see Saving Circulation Parameters for details)
- Email a copy of the Library statistics report to yourself or to another party (see Emailing Circulation Parameters for details)
- Click the Close button to close the Location Stats screen and return to the Locations Collections - Libraries screen.
