Creating, Configuring and Deleting Custom Lender Lists

You can create and configure Custom Lender Lists for your library. These lists can be selectively applied to ILL requests with a status of Unfilled or Retry. You can also delete Custom Lender Lists.

To create a new Custom Lender List:

  1. On the Configure Lender Lists screen (see Configuring Lender Lists for details), click the Custom Lists “Create Lender List” icon create lender list icon.
    • The Create Lender List dialog displays.

  1. Enter a name for the Lender List in the Name text box.
    • The Lender List Name can be a maximum of 40 characters, including spaces.

      NOTE: If you enter a Name that is longer than 40 characters, the Save button is disabled.

  2. Select the desired load-leveling Algorithm for the Lender List; Ordered or Random (see Understanding Load Leveling Algorithms for more information).
  3. Click the Save button to create the new Lender List. (Click the Cancel button to close the dialog without creating the Lender List.)
    • The Create Lender List dialog closes, the new Lender List is added to the Customer Lists section of the Lender List Menu, and the screen refreshes to display the currently defined values for the list.

  1. Add lenders to the Lender List as desired (see Adding, Arranging and Deleting Lenders in Lender Lists for details).
  2. When all desired changes have been made, click the Save button to save your changes.

To configure an existing Custom Lender List:

  1. On the Configure Lender Lists screen (see Configuring Lender Lists for details), click the name of the Custom Lender List you wish to configure.
    • The Configure Lender List screen refreshes to display the currently defined values for the selected list.

  1. Edit the list Name and load-level Algorithm as desired.
  2. Add, arrange and/or delete lenders in the Lenders list as desired (see Adding, Arranging and Deleting Lenders in Lender Lists for details).
  3. When all desired changes have been made, click the Save button to save your changes.

To delete an existing Custom Lender List:

  1. On the Configure Lender Lists screen (see Configuring Lender Lists for details), click the name of the Custom Lender List you wish to delete.
    • The Configure Lender List screen refreshes to display the currently defined values for the selected list.
  2. Click the Menu icon menu icon at the top of the screen, and select Delete.
    • A confirmation dialog displays the message “Are you sure you want to delete this list?”
  3. Click the Delete button on the confirmation dialog to complete the deletion. (Click the Cancel button to cancel the deletion and retain the Custom Lender List.)
    • The selected list is deleted, the list name is removed from the Custom Lists section of the Lender Lists menu, and the screen refreshes to display the currently specified values for the Preferred Lender List.
