Editing Preferences for “Generic” Users

The system is configured with “generic patron” and “generic guest” user records. These records let you configure a number of system defaults for unauthenticated users that access your library’s system as either a “generic patron” or as a “guest.” In addition to the editing functions available with all user records (see Editing User Accounts for details), you may also edit the “generic patron” and “generic guest” user records to:

Set general user preferences
Set favorite search sources
Show or hide search resources
