Managing User Photos
You can add a photograph to a user’s User Record. Patron photographs are displayed on the Patron Summary page of the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen in the Circulation module. Patron photographs provide an additional level of identification during circulation transactions. User photographs may be added either when adding a new user (see Adding a User for details) or editing an existing user (see Editing User Accounts for details).
NOTE: User Photos functionality is optional, and may not be enabled for all systems.
To add a user photograph:

Add a new user (see
Adding a User for details),
then click the Upload Photo button from the Add a User Account status message
screen, or, access the User Record for the desired patron (see
Editing User Accounts for details) and click the
Manage User Photo link.
- The Upload User Photograph screen displays in an additional browser window.
- Click the Browse button to locate the desired file.
- A standard Find File dialog displays. Locate the desired file, then click the Open button on the Find File dialog. The filename for the selected file is automatically entered in the Select a file to upload text box.
- Click the Upload User Photo button.
- The screen refreshes to show the uploaded patron photograph, and the message “User (username) photo below is in user record” displays.
- Click the Close button to close the Upload User Photograph screen.
To delete a user photograph:
- Access the User Record for the desired user (see Editing User Accounts for details).
- Click the Manage User Photo link.
- The Upload User Photograph screen displays in an additional browser window. The screen shows the currently uploaded photograph for the user.
- Click the Delete User Photo button.
- The user’s photograph is removed from the screen, and the message “User (username) photo has been deleted from user record” displays.
- Click the Close button to close the Upload User Photograph screen.
