Chapter 2. APPLICATION BASICS
Insert Menu
Use the Insert menu to add fields, subfields and special characters to a record. Insert menu commands are listed and described in the following table.

Inserts a "default" HLD tag above the line where the cursor is located. |

Allows you to enter a new subfield code. |

Special Character |
ALT_I C or CTRL+R |
Displays the Special Characters dialog, allowing you to select and insert a diacritic, special character or symbol into the body of the record. |

Escape Sequence |
ALT+I E or CTRL+E |
Displays the Escape Sequence Character dialog, allowing you to enter escape sequences in accordance with USMARC Specifications for Record Structure, Character Sets and Exchange Media. |

Tag 091 (contributor code) |
ALT+I 0 |
Inserts a "default" 091 tag (contributor code) above the line where the cursor is located. |
