Chapter 6. FOR AUTHENTICATED USERS
Using Your Account
The Your Account feature lets you access and edit your user record. When you log into the system as an authenticated user (library patron or staff member), the following features are available to you through the Your Account feature:
NOTE: Depending on your login mode (as either a library patron or as a staff member), some features and functions may not be available to you.

Your Items
– the Your Items section of the Your Account screen
lets you access the following features and functions:
- Items from Other Libraries – lets you track the progress of in-process ILL requests you have submitted (see ILL Request Tracking for details).

Your Settings
– the Your Settings section of the Your Account
screen lets you access the following features and functions:
- Your Profile – lets you change your login Password or PIN and add, edit or delete personal information from your user record (see Editing Your Personal Information for details).
- Your Preferences - lets you easily configure a number of system options to suit your own particular needs (see Your Preferences for details).
- Your Favorite Resources - lets you select your favorite resources from all resources available through your library. Your favorite resources are automatically selected each time you log into the system (see Your Favorite Resources for details).
- Your Favorite Web Links – lets you create links to web sites outside the RESEARCHit system (see Your Favorite Web Links for details).
- Search History – lets you view previously performed searches and execute or modify a prior search (see Viewing Search History for details).
- Your Lists – lets you view and manage your lists (see Working with Lists for details)
- Log Out – lets you log out of the system.
To access Your Account:
- Click the Your Account link at the top of any Search screen.
- The Your Account menu displays.
- Select the desired option to access the associated screen.
- Click the Home button in the Your Account menu to return to your library’s “Home” page.
NOTE: Depending on the specific configuration of the system for your library, some field names may be different than those described and illustrated in the following paragraphs.
