Cloning All Funds

The Clone All Funds function facilitates the “cloning” (duplication) of all existing funds from a selected prior fiscal year into a selected new fiscal year.

To clone all funds:

1. From the Acquisitions menu, select Financial Management - Clone All Funds.
   • The Clone All Funds screen displays.

2. Select the source fiscal year (the fiscal year you wish to copy from) from the Source Fiscal Year menu.
   • The Source Fiscal Year menu lists all fiscal years for which at least one Fund Account exists (see Fund Account Maintenance for details).
3. Select the target fiscal year (the fiscal year you wish to copy to) from the Target Fiscal Year menu.
4. Use the Include Current Allocated Amounts checkbox to indicate whether or not you wish the amount allocated to each fund in the Source Fiscal Year to be copied to the Target Fiscal Year.
   • A checkmark indicates amount allocated to each fund will be copied.
   • An empty checkbox indicates amount allocated to each fund will not be copied.
   • Clicking the checkbox repeatedly will toggle the checkbox on and off.
5. Use the Produce Report checkbox to indicate whether or not you wish to view a summary report for the cloning process.
   • A checkmark indicates the Clone All Funds Summary report will be generated.
   • An empty checkbox indicates the Clone All Funds Summary report will not be generated.
   • Clicking the checkbox repeatedly will toggle the checkbox on and off.
6. When all required information has been entered, click the Submit button to clone funds from the Source Fiscal Year to the Target Fiscal Year.
   • If the Produce Report checkbox was selected, the screen refreshes to display the Clone All Funds Summary screen. The screen shows the Source Year, Target Year, Fund Name and Allocated Amount for each cloned fund.

• Click the Save link to save a copy of the summary report to your local workstation (see Saving the “Clone All Funds” Summary Report for details).
