Managing Sounds

The Manage Sounds function lets you customize the audible alarms that sound for various circulation activities and events. You can enable or disable audible alarms for one or more circulation activities/events, and can upload “custom” sound files to replace the VERSO default sounds.

To access Manage Sounds:

From the Circ Admin menu, select Manage Sounds.
- The Manage Sounds screen displays.
- The Manage Sounds screen lists each EVENT for which an audible alarm is sounded, and shows the name of the SOUND FILE that is played for the associated EVENT; either VERSO Default for the default sound supplied with VERSO, or the file name of a “custom” uploaded sound file (see Managing Custom Sound Files for details).
- Click a Play link in the ACTION field to listen to the associated SOUND FILE.
From the Manage Sounds screen, you can:
- Enable or disable the audible alarm for one or more circulation activities/events
- Upload and delete “custom” sound files for one or more circulation activities/events
