Chapter 4. CLAIMING
Extracting Claims
The extraction process identifies missed or damaged issues and copies, taking into account the claim days entered, as well as the predicted dates for issues listed on the Serials Check-In screen for each subscription. You may extract claims as frequently or infrequently as desired. However, to ensure claims remain up-to-date, you should extract claims as frequently as the shortest number of claim days entered for any serial record.
To extract claims:

From the Serials menu, select Claiming – Extract Claims.
- The Extract Claims screen displays.
Extract Claims Screen
- The Extract Claims screen shows the date and time at which the Last Extract was performed.
- Select the library location for which you wish to extract claims from the
Select a Location menu.
- To extract claims for all library locations, select All Locations from the Select a Location menu.
- Click the Initiate Claim Extract button to extract claims.
- The screen refreshes to show the message "Serials Claim Extract Request Initiated" and the date and time at which the extract was requested.
- Click the Close button to close the Extract Claims screen.
