Special Considerations for Primary Household Members
When editing the user record for a Primary Household Member (see the Circulation User Guide for more information), you can optionally choose to automatically update certain information in the user records for all other household members according to changes made to the user record for the Primary Household Member.
Use the Update Household with new address checkbox to indicate whether or not the user records for other household members should be updated when changes are made to address and contact information in the user record for the Primary Household Member.
- A checkmark indicates the user records for other household members will be updated when changes are made to the user record for the Primary Household Member.
- An empty checkbox indicates the user records for other household members will not be updated when changes are made to the user record for the Primary Household Member.
- Clicking the checkbox repeatedly will toggle it on and off.
When the Update Household with new address checkbox is selected, changes made to the following fields in the user record for the Primary Household Member will also be made to the user records for all other household members:
- Address 1
- Address 2
- Zip
- City
- State / Province
- Home /Primary Phone
