Deleting Records

You can use AGCat to delete an obsolete record from the database for your library or consortium.

To delete a record:

  1. With the desired record open in AGCat, select Delete the Record from the Edit menu, or click the Delete Record button Delete Record button in the Toolbar.
    • A confirmation dialog displays the message “Are you sure you want to delete this record from the database?”
  2. Click the Yes button to delete the record from the database. (Click the No button to cancel the deletion and leave the record intact.)
    • The record closes automatically, and is deleted from the database.
