Viewing Shelf Status
The Check Shelf Status feature lets you view the "shelf status" for a title to determine if it is currently available for loan. The Check Shelf Status feature is available through the Location information section of the Full Record Display (see Full Record Display and Viewing Locations for details) or in the resource details and availability field of Brief Browse Lists (when configured) (see Using Continuous Brief Browse (CBB) for details). Libraries for which shelf status information is available are indicated by a Check Shelf Status link.
To view shelf status information:

From
a Brief Browse List configured with resource details and availability
information (see
Using Continuous Brief Browse
(CBB) for details), expand the resource details field and
click the Check Shelf Status link for the library for which you wish to
view shelf status information, or, from a Full Record Display (see
Full Record Display for details),
access to the Location section of the Full Record Display (see
Viewing Locations for
details) Click the Check Shelf Status link for the library for
which you wish to view shelf status information.
- The Check Shelf Status links for all holdings associated with the resource change to show the shelf status for the title (AVAILABLE, LOST, etc.).
- In cases where shelf status for a selected holding cannot be retrieved, the message “Shelf status is not available” shows briefly at the top of the screen.
