Merging Locations

You can combine two individual collections into a single collection by transferring the items from one collection into another.

To merge locations:

1. From the Locations Collections - Libraries screen, click the Merge Locations button.
   • The Merge Locations screen displays in an additional browser window.
2. Select the collection containing the items you wish to transfer into another location/collection from the Edit items at Location drop-down menu.

   The Edit items at Location menu lists all collections currently defined for your system.

3. Select the collection into which you wish to transfer items from the previously selected collection from the Change to Location drop-down menu.

   The Change to Location menu lists all collections currently defined for your system.

4. Click the Submit button on the Merge Locations screen to merge the selected collections.

   Be sure to select the collections you wish to merge in the correct order. Items at the collection selected in the Edit items at Location menu will be transferred to the collection selected in the Change to Location menu.

   • The Merge Locations screen closes automatically, and the selected collections are merged.
