Managing Patron Groups and Categories - Overview
The Patron Categories and Patron Groups functions allow you to associate each library patron with a specified "patron type" (student, staff, etc.) and to assign library patrons to specified "patron groups".
You can also use the Expired Patron Maintenance function for “bulk” processing of user records of patrons for whom borrowing privileges have expired, and Set Age Transitions to change a patron’s Patron Category and/or Patron Group assignment based on the patron’s age.
