CIRCULATION ADMINISTRATION
Chapter 6. SETTING UP NOTICES
Short Message Service (SMS) Management
Short Messaging Service (SMS) support allows library patrons who have specified the Notification Preferences and/or Reserve Notification Preferences options in their User Record as SMS (see the User Administration User Guide for details) to be notified by text message when a reserved item is ready for pickup, an item currently on loan is due (or overdue), and if outstanding fines are registered against their accounts. The SMS Management function lets you maintain a list of SMS carriers. Text messages are defined using the Text Message Setup functions (see Text Message Setup for details).
NOTE: Text messaging support is a purchasable enhancement, and may not be available for all systems. Contact Auto-Graphics’ Sales and Marketing for more information.
