Removing a Patron Block

The procedures for removing a patron block depend on the block type; “soft” or “hard.”

To remove a “hard” block from a patron’s account:

  1. On the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen for the desired patron, click the Patron Edit button.
    • The Edit User Account screen displays.
  2. Unselect the Blocked checkbox.
  3. Delete the block message from the Block Reason text box.
  4. Click the Submit button to save your changes.

To remove a “soft” block from a patron’s account:

  1. On the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen for the desired patron, click the Patron Edit button.
    • The Edit User Account screen displays.
  2. Delete the block message from the Messages text box.
  3. Click the Submit button to save your changes.
