Chapter 3. ITEM REPORTS
Brief Bibs from Circulation
Purpose: Provides a listing of brief bibliographic records added to your library’s database from within the Circulation module. You can run the report for a single, selected library, or for all libraries in your VERSO system.
Default Filename:
BRIEF_BIBS_(date)_(ID number).xls
Brief Bibs From Circulation Screen
Report Parameters:
- Select Type (drop-down menu) – determines which brief bibliographic records will be included in the report; Brief Bibs (added through the Circulation module) or Brief ILL Bibs (added using the optional Circ-ILL module).
- Select a Library (drop-down menu) – determines which location will
be included in the report.
NOTE: The Select a Library menu lists all libraries that have been defined for your system.
- Select All to generate the report for brief bibliographic records added to the database for all libraries in your system.
- Select a single library to generate the report for brief bibliographic records added to the database for the selected library only.
- Enter Start Create Date for Listing (text box) – determines the starting
date of the period for which the report will be generated; enter the desired
date using the format MM/DD/YYYY, i.e., "03/10/2001".
NOTE: Be sure to include the slashes "/" when entering the Enter Start Create Date for Listing. Do not include alphabetic characters when entering the Enter Start Create Date for Listing.

next to the date entry text box to select a Start Create Date for
Listing using the Date Entry Calendar (see the
System Basics User Guide
for details).

- Enter Stop Create Date for Listing (text box) – determines the ending date
of the period for which the report will be generated; enter the desired date
using the format MM/DD/YYYY, i.e., "03/10/2001".

- Sort By (drop-down menu) – determines the key by which the report will be sorted; select Title, Call Number or Date Created.

The name of the report and selected transaction type, the RUN DATE, and a summary of report parameters are shown at the top of the report. The Brief Bibs from Circulation report provides the following information for each title included in the listing:
Brief Bibs From Circulation Report
- The Date and time at which the brief bibliographic record was added to the database
- The Title, Author, Call Number and Barcode of the title
- The Library location and Collection for the title
