Chapter 3. ITEM REPORTS
Collection Value Report
Purpose: Shows the dollar value of items held by All Locations or by a single, selected location, branch or collection. If desired, the report can be limited to items added to the location/branch/collection during a specified time period.
Default Filename:
CollectionValue_(date)_(ID number).XLSX
Report Parameters:

Select
Location (drop-down menu) – determines the location(s) that will be
included in the report; select the desired location.
NOTE: The Select Location menu lists all locations (libraries, branches and collections) that have been defined for your system. Locations are defined by your Library Administrator.
- Select All Locations to generate the report for items held by all libraries and all associated branches and collections.
- Select a library to generate the report for items held by the selected library and all associated branches and collections.
- Select a collection to generate the report for items associated with the selected collection only.
- Start Date (text box) – when limiting the report to items added
during a specified time period, determines the starting date of the period for
which the report will be generated; enter the desired date using the format
MM/DD/YYYY, i.e., "02/06/2021".
NOTE: Be sure to include the slashes "/" when entering the Start Date. Do not include alphabetic characters when entering the Start Date.
- You may also click the Date Entry Calendar icon next to the date entry text box to select a Start Date using the Date Entry Calendar (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
NOTE: If you do not wish to limit the report by Start Date, leave the Start Date text box blank.
- Stop Date (text box) – when limiting the report to items added
during a specified time period, determines the ending date of the period for
which the report will be generated; enter the desired date using the format
MM/DD/YYYY, i.e., "02/06/2021".
NOTE: Be sure to include the slashes "/" when entering the Stop Date. Do not include alphabetic characters when entering the Stop Date.
- You may also click the Date Entry Calendar icon next to the date entry text box to select a Stop Date using the Date Entry Calendar (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
NOTE: If you do not wish to limit the report by Stop Date, leave the Stop Date text box blank.

The name of the report, the run date, the selected location, and the start and stop dates are shown at the top of the report. The Collection Value Report provides the following information for each location included in the listing:
- The Location for which statistics are presented
- The current Status for the location; Active or Inactive
- The total number of items for which a Cost is specified in the item record added to the associated collection during the specified time period (Items with Cost)
- The total dollar value of all Items with Cost for the associated collection (Sum Cost Value)
- The total number of items for which no Cost is specified in the item record added to the associated collection during the specified time period (Item No Cost)
- The total dollar value of all Item No Cost based on the default cost specified for the material type of the item (Sum Default Cost)
- The Total Value (Sum Cost Value plus Sum Default Cost) for all items added to the associated collection during the specified time period.
