Chapter 4. FINES/FEES REPORTS
Fines/Fees Transaction Register
Purpose: Provides a listing of all fine and fee transactions for your library for a specified time period.
Default Filename:
FINE_TRANSACTIONS_(date)_(ID number).xls
Report Parameters:

Enter Start Date for Listing (text box) – determines the starting date of
the period for which the report will be generated; enter the desired date using
the format MM/DD/YYYY, i.e., "03/10/2001".
NOTE: Be sure to include the slashes "/" when entering the Enter Start Date for Listing. Do not include alphabetic characters when entering the Enter Start Date for Listing.
- You may also click the Date Entry Calendar icon next to the date entry text box to select a Start Date for Listing using the Date Entry Calendar (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
- Enter Stop Date for Listing (text box) – determines the ending date of the
period for which the report will be generated; enter the desired date using the
format MM/DD/YYYY, i.e., "03/10/2001".
NOTE: Be sure to include the slashes "/" when entering the Enter Stop Date for Listing. Do not include alphabetic characters when entering the Enter Stop Date for Listing.
- You may also click the Date Entry Calendar icon next to the date entry text box to select a Stop Date for Listing using the Date Entry Calendar (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
- Transaction Type (drop-down menu) – determines the type of transaction for which the report will be generated; select All to generate the report for all transaction types, or selected the desired transaction type; Fees, New fine, Payment, Balance Credit or Balance Debit.

The name of the report, the RUN DATE, and a summary of report parameters are shown at the top of the report. The Fines/Fees Transaction Register report provides the following information for each transaction (patron information is taken from the patron’s user record, as available):
- The Date on which the fine/fee transaction occurred
- The Type of transaction (Fee, Overdue Fine, Patron Lost Item Cost, etc.)
- Any Comments entered during the transaction
- The Amount of the transaction (in dollars and cents)
- The Last Name, First Name and middle Initial of the patron for whom the transaction was performed
- The patron’s contact information (Phone number and Email address)
- The patron’s mailing address (Address 1, Address 2, City, State, Zip)
