Chapter 2. PATRON REPORTS
Global Reserve Pickup Notices
Purpose: Generates notices for delivery via phone, email or print to all patrons associated with one or more selected libraries for which one or more items on reserve are currently available for pickup. Notice setup is performed through the Circulation Administration module (see the Circulation Administration User Guide for details).
NOTE: When the Number of hours to delay sending hold notice value in the Reserve Pickup Notice Setup is greater than zero, transmission of reserve pickup notices is delayed by the number of hours specified (see the Circulation Administration User Guide for more information).

Report Parameters:
- Show phone number on notice (drop-down menu) determines whether or not the patrons phone number will be included on notices. Select Yes (phone number will be included) or No (phone number will not be included), as desired.
- Include User barcode on notice (drop-down menu) determines whether or not the patrons barcode will be included on notices. Select Yes (barcode will be included) or No (barcode will not be included), as desired.
- Include dates from (radio button / text box) determines the date(s) for
which pickup notices will be generated. Select the Today radio button to
generate notices for the current calendar date, or select the Range radio button
and enter the desired date range in the From and To text boxes. Enter the
desired From and To dates using the format MM/DD/YYYY, i.e., 03/10/2011.
- You may also click the Date Entry Calendar icon next to the From and To text boxes to select dates using the Date Entry Calendar (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
- Type of Notice (drop-down menu) indicates the type of notice you wish to
produce:
- Output Print and Email sends notices for all patrons who match your criteria, and do not have email addresses specified in their Patron Records, to your library's Reports directory, and sends notices, via email, for all patrons who match your criteria, and who do have email addresses specified in their Patron Records.
- Output non-Email sends notices for all patrons who match your criteria, and do not have email addresses specified in their Patron Records, to your library's Reports directory.
- Send Email sends notices, via email, for all patrons who match your criteria, and who do have email addresses specified in their Patron Records.
- Print All sends notices for all patrons who match your criteria (both email and non-email) to your library's Reports directory.
- Notification Preference sends notices for all patrons who match your criteria according to their specified preferred notification method.
- Limit By Patron Group (drop-down menu) limits notices produced to
a selected patron group.
NOTE: The Limit By Patron Group menu lists all available patron groups for your library. Patron groups are established by your Library Administrator.
- Sort By Patron Group (drop-down menu) determines whether or not the report will be sorted by patron group. Select Yes (the report will be sorted by patron group) or No (the report will not be sorted by patron group), as desired.
- Suppress Notices with no address (drop-down menu) determines whether or not patrons for whom no address has been specified in the Patron Record will be included in the report. Select Yes (patrons with no address will not be included in the report) or No (patrons with no address will be included in the report), as desired.
- Bundle Family Group notices (drop-down menu) determines whether individual or combined notices will be created for members of a Family Group. Select Yes to create a combined notice (listing items and fees for all members of a Family Group, and addressed to the primary Family Group member) or No to create individual notices for each Family Group member, as desired.
- Home Location (drop-down menu) determines the location for which the
report will be generated. Select the desired location.
NOTE: The Home Location menu lists all currently defined locations for your system.
- To generate the report for all currently defined locations for your system, select All Options from the Home Location menu.
- Envelope (drop-down menu) determines the size and orientation of envelopes to be used when mailing notices; select the desired envelope.
- Select Libraries to Process (checkboxes) determines the library or
libraries for which the report will be generated; select one or more libraries,
as desired.
NOTE: The Select Libraries to Process field lists the Library Code and Library Name for all libraries defined for your system. All libraries are selected for inclusion in the report by default.
- A checkmark indicates notices will be generated for the associated library.
- An empty checkbox indicates notices will not be generated for the associated library.
- Clicking a checkbox repeatedly will toggle it on and off.
- Use the Check/Clear All checkbox to select or deselect all library checkboxes.
To view a summary of Reserve Pickup Notices results:

The name of the report is shown at the top of the summary, along with the Date/Time at which the report was run and the name of the library for which the report was run (Statistic for). The Global Reserve Pickup Notices summary provides the following information:
- Total number of message sent the total number of notices sent by all methods
- Total number of message delayed the total number of notices for which transmission was delayed
- Total Phone Notification the total number of notices sent via telephone notification
- Total number of email the total number of notices sent by email
- Total number of email delayed the total number of notices sent by email for which transmission was delayed
- Total number of print the total number of print notices sent through standard mail
- Total errors sending email the total number of email notices for which an error occurred (that failed to be delivered)
- Total number of text msg the total number of notices sent by Short Message Service (SMS)
- Total number of text msg delayed the total number of notices sent by Short Message Service (SMS) for which transmission was delayed
- Total errors sending text the total number of SMS notices for which an error occurred (that failed to be delivered)
