Deleting Resource Descriptions

You can delete an existing database description from a resource.

NOTE: You must be logged in as a Customer SuperUser or Library SuperUser to delete database descriptions from system-level resources. Library SuperUsers and PAC Staff members can delete database descriptions from resources defined at the local level.

To delete a resource description:

1. Access the Public Search Resources screen (see Viewing System-Wide Resources for details).
2. In the Note column, click the Edit Resource Note icon to the right of the resource for which you wish to delete the database description.
   • The Define Resource Note screen displays in an additional browser window.
3. Scroll down to the Define Resource description field.
4. Clear the fields for the database description, then click the Submit button.
