Working with Resource Headings

Resource headings are used to create category groupings on the Resources menu shown in the Search interface. RESEARCHit and VERSO are pre-configured with a set of default resource headings. You can choose to create additional resource headings, to edit or delete an existing resource heading, and to define the order in which resource headings are displayed in the Resources menu. You may also choose to suppress the display of a resource heading. This feature is useful when a resource heading contains Web Links only.

To access resource headings:

Select Define Resource Headings from the PAC Admin menu (see The PAC Admin Menu for details).
- The Define Resource Headings screen displays.

The Define Resource Headings screen lists all currently defined resource headings, arranged in the currently specified display sequence (see Arranging Resource Headings for details).
From the Define Resource Headings screen, you may choose to:
- Add a new resource heading
- Rename an existing resource heading
- Specify the arrangement of resource headings in the Resources menu.
- Configure the default appearance of resource headings ("expanded" or "collapsed") in the Resources menu accessed from Quick Search
- Delete an existing resource heading
