Using the Serials Prediction Calendar

The Serials Prediction Calendar lets you manually select the dates on which you expect to receive issues for a given subscription.

To designate a “predicted issue date”:

  1. If necessary, select the desired calendar year from the Select Starting Year menu.
    • The Calendar screen refreshes to show the selected calendar year. Days on which you expect to receive issues for the associated subscription are indicated by gray shading.
  2. Click an unshaded date to mark it as a “predicted issue date.”
    • The selected date is highlighted by gray shading.
  3. Repeat step 2 to add additional “predicted issue dates.”
  4. When all desired “predicted issue dates” have been added to the calendar, click the Submit button to save your changes.
    • The Serials Prediction Calendar refreshes with the selected “predicted issue dates” listed at the bottom of the screen. Click the Modify link for a listed “predicted issue date” to add enumeration and chronology information for the associated issue (see Entering Enumeration and Chronology for Manually Predicted Issues for details).

To remove a "predicted issue date":

  1. If necessary, select the desired calendar year from the Select Starting Year menu.
    • The Calendar screen refreshes to show the selected calendar year. Days on which you expect to receive issues for the associated subscription are indicated by gray shading.
  2. Click a shaded date to indicate to remove it as a “predicted issue date.”
    • The gray shading is removed from the selected date.
  3. Repeat step 2 to remove additional “predicted issue dates.”
  4. When all desired “predicted issue dates” have been removed from the calendar, click the Submit button to save your changes.
    • The Serials Prediction Calendar refreshes with the unselected dates removed from the “predicted issue dates” list at the bottom of the screen.
