Chapter 3. SEARCH AND RESULTS OPTIONS
Managing Facets
The Facets Management function lets you configure the options available through the Filter Your Results menus shown on all search results screens.
To manage facets:

From
the Search and Results Options menu, select Facets Management.
- The Facet Management page displays.
Facet Management Page
- The Facet Management page shows listings of all facets by which search results can be filtered. Separate lists are shown for Patron/Guest users and library Staff. Facets are listed in the order in which they appear on search results screens.
- Use the checkboxes to enable or disable display of the
associated facet for Patron/Guest users and library Staff.
- A checkmark
indicates display of the associated facet is enabled (the facet
will be included on search results screens). - An empty checkbox
indicates display of the associated facet is disabled (the facet
will not be included on search results screens). - Clicking a checkbox repeatedly will toggle it on and off.
- A checkmark
- If desired, use the text field associated with a facet to enter a new display name for the facet.
- To rearrange the order in which facets are listed on the search results
screen:
- Position the cursor on the Move Tab

for the
facet you wish to move. - Click and hold the left mouse button, then drag the facet to the desired position in the list.
- Repeat as necessary to reposition additional facets.
- Position the cursor on the Move Tab
icon
- When all desired changes have been made, click the Submit Patron/Guest
Facets and/or Submit Staff Facets button(s) to save your changes.
- The message “Success” shows briefly at the top of the screen.
- Click the Back
button
, as needed, to return to the Settings menu. - Click the X button to close the Settings menu.
