Batch Update Due Dates
The Batch Update Due Dates function allows Library SuperUsers and Customer SuperUsers to update the due dates for all currently checked out items for all patrons to a new specified due date. This function is intended for use primarily when a library may experience an unanticipated closure for a period of time.
NOTE: The Batch Update Due Dates function is shown ONLY if you are logged in as a Library SuperUser or Customer SuperUser.
To perform a batch update of due dates:
NOTE: Once submitted, the batch update CANNOT be undone (the original due dates for checked out items CANNOT be automatically restored).

From
the Circ Admin menu, select Batch Update Due Dates.
- The Batch Update Due Dates screen displays.
- Click the Date Entry Calendar icon next to the “Select a new due date” text box to select a new due date using the Date Entry Calendar (see the System Basics User Guide for details).
- Click the Submit button to submit the new due date.
- The advisory message “Action cannot be reversed. Are you sure?” shows briefly at the top of the screen.
- Click continue in the advisory message to complete the batch
update. (If you do not wish to perform the batch update, allow the advisory
message to expire.)
- The due dates for all currently checked out items for all patrons are changed to the specified due date.
- The message “(#) item due dates changed” shows briefly at the top of the screen.
