Organization of the User Guide

This User Guide is designed to provide an overview of the features and functions of Circulation Administration, and includes the detailed procedures to establish and maintain circulation policies and practices for libraries in your VERSO system. The User Guide is divided into 8 chapters, as follows:

Chapter 1 – Introduction. This chapter provides an overview of the features and functions available through the Circulation Administration module.

Chapter 2 – Material Types and Item Categories. This chapter provides the procedures to define the material types and item categories for your VERSO system.

Chapter 3 – Setting Fees. This chapter provides the procedures to establish and maintain a fee schedule for your VERSO system.

Chapter 4 – Defining Locations and Collections. This chapter provides the procedures to define the libraries, branches and collection in your VERSO system.

Chapter 5 – Managing Patron Groups and Categories. This chapter provides the procedures to define and maintain patron groups and categories for your VERSO system.

Chapter 6 – Setting Up Notices. This chapter provides the procedures to create and modify overdue and fine notices.

Chapter 7 – Setting Circulation Parameters. This chapter provides the procedures to establish and maintain circulation parameters, including loan and renewal periods, renewal and checkout limits, fine amount and limits, and the library schedule (calendar and operating hours).

Chapter 8 – Setting Circulation Options. This chapter provides the procedures to configure “user selectable” operating parameters for your VERSO system.
