TALKINGtech Administration
Some libraries utilize the services of TALKINGtech Ltd. To supply text messaging services to library patrons. TALKINGtech support allows library patrons who have specified the Notification Preferences and/or Reserve Notification Preferences options in their User Record as i-Tiva (see the User Administration User Guide for details) to be notified by text message when a reserved item is ready for pickup, an item currently on loan is due (or overdue), and/or if outstanding fines are registered against their accounts. TalkingTech Admin lets you configure messaging parameters and view messaging results for text messages processed through TALKINGtech. Text messages are defined using the Text Message Setup functions (see Text Message Setup for details).
NOTE: TALKINGtech support is a purchasable enhancement, and may not be available for all systems. Contact Auto-Graphics’ Sales and Marketing for more information.
The following functions are available through TalkingTech Admin:
- Configuration – lets you specify the types of messages to be sent through TALKINGtech, and the time of day at which messages are processed.
- Results Report – displays messaging results for a selected one-month period.
