Copying User Records

The Copy feature on the Edit User Account screen lets you create a copy of the currently active User Record to use as the basis for creating a new User Record. When a User Record is copied, the current content of the User Record (except the Login Name or Barcode, Password, Confirm Password, First Name, Middle Name and Last Name fields) is retained. This feature is intended for use in cases such as creating User Records for patrons residing within the same household.

To copy a User Record:

  1. Access the Edit User Account screen for the patron whose User Record you wish to copy (see Editing Patrons for details).
  2. Click the Copy button.
    • The Add New User (COPY) screen displays.

  1. Enter, edit or delete information on the Edit User Accounts screen as desired (see Adding a Patron for details).
  2. When all desired information has been edited, click the Submit button to save your changes to the User Record.
    • The Edit User Accounts screen closes automatically, and the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen refreshes to reflect your changes.
