Managing Lost Items

The system provides the facility for declaring items as "Patron Lost" and for registering the lost item against the responsible patron. When an item is declared lost, the Patron Lost exception is automatically applied to the item. Additionally, appropriate fines and/or fees can be automatically assessed against the responsible patron when the item is declared "lost".

You can view a list of items registered as "lost" for any patron from the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen for the desired patron (see Viewing Lost and Claimed Returned Items for details).
