Reserves with Available Copies

The Reserves with Available Copies function lets you view a listing of all reserves for which copies are currently available.

To view reserves with available copies:

1. From the Circulation menu (see The Circulation Menu for details), select Reserves - Reserves with Available Copies.
   • The Reserves with Available Copies screen displays.

• The Reserves with Available Copies screen shows a listing, in alphanumeric order by Call Number, of all active reserves for all locations for which copies are currently available. Each line in the listing includes the Title, Call Number (including the call number prefix and suffix when included in the item record), Author of the associated title, and pickup location (Pickup Loc), and may include patron information (patron name and barcode) and the number of currently available copies of the title.

NOTE: The Pickup Loc field is not shown for single-library/single-branch systems with no more than one pickup location defined.

• If your library has enabled the Include Item Barcodes on Reserves with Available Copies Display option (see the Circulation Administration User Guide for details), the Reserves with Available Copies screen include the Item Barcode for each item included in the list.

NOTE: If your library has enabled the Hide Patron Names/Barcodes on Reserves with Available Copies Screen option (see the Circulation Administration User Guide for details), patron information and available copies is not shown..

2. To view reserves for a single, selected library location, select the library location for which you wish to view reserves from the Availability by menu.
   • Select All Locations from the Availability by menu to view reserves for all library locations.
3. To view reserves for a single, selected pickup location, select the pickup location for which you wish to view reserves from the Pickup Location menu.
   • Select All Locations from the Pickup Location menu to view reserves for all pickup locations.

   NOTE: The Pickup Loc field is not shown for single-library/single-branch systems with no more than one pickup location defined.

4. To re-sort the list in alphabetic order by title, select Title from the Sort by menu. To re-sort the list in alphabetic order by location, select Location from the Sort by menu. To re-sort the list in alphanumeric order by patron barcode, select Patron Barcode from the Sort by menu.
   • Select Call Number from the Sort by menu to return the list to alphanumeric sort by call number.
5. To limit the list to only those reserves associated with patrons of the library under which you are currently logged in, select My Patrons Only from the Limit to menu.
   • Select All from the Limit to menu to view all reserves.
6. Click the View Reserves button for a title to display the View Reserves screen for the title (see The View Reserves Screen for details).
