Chapter 6. WORKING WITH RESERVES

Suspending Reserves

If a patron will be unable to pick up reserved items for a period of time, you can “suspend” reserves for the patron. If an attempt is made to place a reserve for a patron with “suspended reserves,’ the message “Reserves has been suspended for this user” is shown on the Reserve a Title (for “soft” reserves) or Temporary Transfer to Reserve Location (for “hard” reserves) screens. You must remove the suspension before a reserve can be placed. Once the suspension is removed, titles may once again be reserved for the patron.

To suspend reserves:

  1. Access the Patron Checkout, Status, & Reserves screen for the desired patron (see Viewing Patron Status for details), and select the Reserves tab.
