Chapter 2. CHECK OUT AND CHECK IN
Viewing Patron History
Click the Patron History tab at the top of the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen to display the Patron History page. The Patron History page provides a summary of the patron’s circulation history and fines/fees history for up to the past five years. The Patron History page shows statistics for Checkout and Notices and a Financial Summary, and also provides access to a listing of Previously Checked Out items (see Viewing Previously Checked Out Items for details).
Patron History Page
NOTE: The Previously Checked Out items page is available only if the patron has enabled the Show previously checked out items option (see the Search User Guide for more information).
The Checkout and Notices section is initially listed in reverse chronological order (most recent year first). The Checkout and Notices section provides the following information for each year included in the summary:
- Year - the calendar year with which the summary statistics are associated
- Circulation - the number of checkout transactions for the patron for the associated calendar year
- Fine/Fee - the number of fines/fees transactions (fines/fees assessed and payment processed) for the patron for the associated calendar year
- 1st Notice through 5th Notice - the number of each overdue notice sent to the patron during the associated calendar year
- Last Overdue - the date on which the most recent overdue notice was sent to the patron, and the type of notice (print or email) sent
- Last Fee Notice - the date on which the most recent fines/fees notice was sent to the patron
If desired, you can re-sort the Checkout and Notices list according to a selected sort key.
- Position the cursor on the column head by which you wish to sort the list.
- Click the
icon to display the sort menu. Select the desired option:
- Select Sort Ascending to sort the list in ascending order according to the selected sort key.
- Select Sort Descending to sort the list in descending order according to the selected sort key.
- Select Remove Sort for a previously selected sort key to return the list to the default sort order.
The Financial Summary section is initially listed in reverse chronological order (most recent Year first). The Financial Summary section provides the following information for each Year included in the summary (the Total amounts for all years included in the summary are shown at the top of the summary):
- Fines/Fees accrued - the total amount of fines/fees assessed against the patron’s user account for the associated calendar year
- Fines/Fees paid - the total amount of payments made for fines/fees assessed against the patron’s user account for the associated calendar year
- Fines/Fees waived - the total amount of fines/fees waived by the library for the patron’s user account for the associated calendar year
