Chapter 2. CHECK OUT AND CHECK IN
Viewing Household Members
The Household page of the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen provides a listing of household members who’s user records are “linked” to the current patron’s user record. You can add new household members or remove existing household members, as desired (See Managing Household Members for details).
NOTE: The Household tab includes a parenthetical notation that shows the number of household members associated with the user account.
To view household members:

On the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen, click the Household tab.
- The Household page displays.
- The Household page shows a “brief” record for each household member
“linked” to the current patron’s user record. Each brief record shows the
following information:
- Name – the name of the household member
- Barcode – the household member’s barcode; click a Barcode link to display
the Patron Checkout, Status & Reserves screen for the associated household
member
NOTE: The Barcode serves as a link to the user record for the household member.
- Category – the Patron Category to which the household member is assigned
- Phone Number – the household member’s primary or home phone number
- Cell Phone – the household member’s cell phone number
- Email – the household member’s email address
- Email Account Info – shows the day of the week on which account information is emailed to the household member (if the household member has selected not to receive account information via email, this field shows “NO”)
- Comments – text entered in the Comment field in the household member’s User Record
- Total Items Out – the total number of items currently checked out to the household member
- Overdue – the total number of items currently checked out to the household member for which the due date has expired
- Oldest Overdue – the number of days by which the oldest item is overdue
- Accrued Overdue Fines – the total amount of accrued fines on overdue items
- Reserved / Reserved for Checkout – the total number of items for which “soft” / “hard” reserves have been placed for the household member
- Total Fines / Fees – the current fines/fees balance for the household member; if the household member has available funds on deposit with the library, this value is shown as a negative value ($-144.00, for example)
- Lost Items – the total number of lost items registered against the household member’s account
You can add a new household member to the Primary Household Member’s account. You can also remove an existing household member from the Primary Household Member’s account. See Managing Household Members for details.
