PAC ADMINISTRATION

Chapter 4. MANAGING RESOURCES

Adding or Editing Authentication Information

When a reference source or Z39.50 resource has been configured for Library Authentication, authentication information for the resource must be entered at the local level. Access to authentication information is made available from the Search Resources screen (see Viewing Search Resources for details). Resources requiring Library Authentication are indicated by a Lock icon Authentication Required Icon in the column to the right of the Details column. You can add or edit authentication information for a single selected database, or you can use the Master function to add or edit authentication information for all library-authenticated databases.

To add or edit authentication information for a single database:

  1. From the Search Resources screen (see Viewing Search Resources for details), click the Lock icon Authentication Required Icon for the resource for which you wish to add or edit authentication information.
    • The Library Authentication screen displays in an additional browser window.
