Defining Libraries for a Resource Group

You can select the specific libraries that will be associated with a given resource group. Once a library is associated with a resource group, only those resources defined for the resource group will be available to the library, and any resources in the library’s Resources menu that are not defined for the resource group are removed from the Resources menu automatically.

NOTE: Locally defined resources specific to a given library are left unchanged.

To define libraries for a resource group:

  1. From the Define Resource Groups screen (see Editing a Library Type for details), click the Libraries link for the resource group to which you wish to assign libraries.
    • The Libraries screen displays in an additional browser window.

  1. If desired, use the Show menu to show Selected Libraries Only (select All Libraries from the Show menu to view all available libraries).
  2. Use the Include In (resource group) checkboxes to select the libraries you wish to associate with the resource group.
    • A checkmark checkmark indicates the associated library is associated with the resource group.
    • An empty checkbox checkbox indicates the associated library is not associated with the resource group.
    • Clicking the checkbox repeatedly will toggle it on and off.

NOTE: If you select a library that is currently associated with a Resource Group, an advisory dialog displays. Click the OK button to close the dialog and return to the Libraries screen.

  3. When all desired libraries have been selected, click the Submit button to save your changes.
    • The Libraries screen refreshes to display your changes.
  4. Click the Back button to close the Libraries screen and return to the Define Library Types screen.
