PAC ADMINISTRATION
Chapter 6. CUSTOMER SUPERUSER
Upload Permission Definitions
The upload permission you select for a library determines the specific upload options that may be granted to individual staff members associated with that library by the library's User Administrator. When an upload permission is established for a library, the library may grant that option, as well as all lower-level options, to its staff members. The library may also choose to deny all cataloging privileges for a given staff member. The following paragraphs list bibliographic and holding permissions, in order, from lowest level to highest level.
Bibliographic Permissions:
- Update Any Bib - Can upload new/edited bibliographic information and delete bibliographic records for any library.
- Update Only My Bib - Can upload new/edited bibliographic information and delete bibliographic records for their library only (for bibliographic records to which their library is the only holder attached).
- Update List Bib - Can upload new/edited bibliographic information and delete bibliographic records for multiple selected libraries only (for bibliographic records to which one or more of the libraries entered in the Library List are the only holders attached).
Holding Permissions:
- Update Any HLD - Can upload added/edited/deleted holdings (locations) information for any library.
- Update Only My HLD - Can upload added/edited/deleted holdings (locations) information for their library only (for bibliographic records to which their library is the only holder attached).
- Update List HLD - Can upload added/edited/deleted holdings (locations) information for multiple selected libraries only (for bibliographic records to which one or more of the libraries entered in the Library List are the only holders attached).
