Using the Scoping Filter

The Scoping Filter lets you limit libraries / locations shown on the View Scoping screen to those that meet specified criteria.

To use the Scoping Filter (RESEARCHit/SHAREit):

  1. On the View Scoping screen for the desired scoping level (see Viewing Library / Location Scoping for details), choose Selected Libraries from the View menu.
    • The View Scoping Filter screen displays.

  1. Enter your selection criteria, as appropriate:

    NOTE: Depending on the arrangement of your consortium or collective, the View Scoping Filter screen may include a combination of list boxes (Region or City, for example) and or text boxes (Library Name, for example) for specifying selection criteria.

    • Make the desired selection(s) from the appropriate list boxes, and enter text in the appropriate text boxes.

      NOTE: To select multiple entries in a list box, hold down the <CTRL> key and click all desired entries.

  2. Click the Submit button. (Click the Reset button to return the View Scoping Filter screen to its initial conditions if you wish to make changes to your selection criteria.)
    • The View Scoping screen displays, listing only those libraries that match your selection criteria.

To use the Scoping Filter (VERSO):

  1. On the View Scoping screen for the desired scoping level (see Viewing Library / Location Scoping for details), choose Selected Locations from the View menu.
    • The View Scoping Filter screen displays.

  1. Enter your selection criteria:
    • Make the desired selection(s) from the Available branch names are list box.

      NOTE: To select multiple entries, hold down the <CTRL> key and click all desired entries.

  2. Click the Submit button. (Click the Reset button to return the View Scoping Filter screen to its initial conditions if you wish to make changes to your selection criteria.)
    • The View Scoping screen displays, listing only those locations that match your selection criteria.
