Viewing Library / Location Scoping

To view libraries assigned to a scoping level (RESEARCHit/SHAREit):

  1. From the Define Scoping Levels screen (see Modifying Scoping Level Headings for details), click the Configure button for the scoping level for which you wish to view and/or modify assigned libraries.
    • The View Scoping screen displays.

  1. To view libraries assigned to a different scoping level:
    • Select the desired scoping level from the Scoping menu.
      • The Scoping menu lists all currently defined scoping levels.
    • If desired, use the View menu to limit the libraries displayed for the currently selected scoping level by selecting the desired option, as follows:
      • All Libraries - Displays all libraries in your consortium or collective (including those not assigned to the currently selected scoping level).
      • All Scoped Libraries - Displays only those libraries assigned to the currently selected scoping level.
      • Selected Libraries - Displays the View Scoping Filter screen, allowing you to specify the criteria for displaying a subset of all libraries based on the criteria you enter (see Using the Scoping Filter for details).
      • (Location Group) - Displays only those libraries assigned to the currently selected scoping level that are also assigned to the selected location group (see Modifying Location Group Headings for more information).
  2. Assign libraries to scoping levels and location groups as desired (see Setting Library / Location Scoping for details).

To view locations assigned to a scoping level (VERSO):

  1. From the Define Scoping Levels screen (see Modifying Scoping Level Headings for details), click the Configure button for the scoping level for which you wish to view and/or modify assigned locations.
    • The View Scoping screen displays.

  1. To view locations assigned to a different scoping level:
    • Select the desired scoping level from the Scoping menu.
      • The Scoping menu lists all currently defined scoping levels.
    • If desired, use the View menu to limit the locations displayed for the currently selected scoping level by selecting the desired option, as follows:
      • All Locations - Displays all locations in your consortium or collective (including those not assigned to the currently selected scoping level).
      • All Scoped locations - Displays only those locations assigned to the currently selected scoping level.
      • Selected Locations - Displays the View Scoping Filter screen, allowing you to specify the criteria for displaying a subset of all locations based on the criteria you enter (see Using the Scoping Filter for details).
      • (Location Group) - Displays only those locations assigned to the currently selected scoping level that are also assigned to the selected location group (see Modifying Location Group Headings for more information).
  2. Assign locations to scoping levels and location groups as desired (see Setting Library / Location Scoping for details).

To print a scoping level listing:

  1. From the Define Scoping Levels screen (see Modifying Scoping Level Headings for details), click the Configure button for the scoping level for which you wish to print a listing.
    • The View Scoping screen displays.
    • The screen lists all libraries / locations for your consortium or collective.
  2. Use the Scoping and View menus, as desired, to limit the libraries / locations included in the list.
  3. Click the Print button.
    • A formatted scoping list displays in an additional browser window.
  4. Click the Print link on the formatted scoping list.
    • A standard Print dialog displays.
  5. Make the desired selections on the Print dialog, then click the OK button to print the list.
  6. Click the Close link on the formatted scoping list to close the list and return to the View Scoping screen.
