Editing an Existing Query
You can edit the update query parameters, output fields, update fields and scheduling options for any currently existing update query.
To edit an update query:
- On the Smart Application Group Editor screen (see
Using the Smart
Application Group Editor (SAGE) for details), click the
Edit button
for the update query you wish to edit.
- A confirmation dialog displays the message “Are you sure you wish to edit report:(report name)?”
- Click the Yes button to continue. (Click the No button to cancel the edit
request and return to the Smart Application Group Editor screen.)
- The Select Parameters screen displays. The screen is pre-filled with the currently specified parameters for the query.
- Add, edit or delete query parameters as desired, then click the Next
button.
- The Select Output Fields screen displays. The screen is pre-configured with the currently selected output fields.
- Add, remove or re-sequence output fields as desired, then click the Next
button.
- The Save Report for Future Use dialog displays. The dialog is pre-filled with the current name of the update query.
- If desired, edit the name of the update query, then click the Save button.
- The Save Report for Future Use dialog closes automatically, and the Query Results screen displays.
- If desired, use the checkboxes associated with each record to include or
exclude the associated record from "batch" processing, then click the
Next
button.
- The Select Fields for Update screen displays.
- Use the Update Fields checkboxes to select the fields you wish to modify
and enter or edit the new value for each selected field in the associated
New
Value to be Assigned text box, then click the Next button.
- A summary screen displays, listing the fields selected for update along with the new value specified for each selected field.
- Click the Yes – I am sure button if you wish to save the update query.
(Click the Cancel button if you do not wish to save the update query.)
- A confirmation dialog displays the message “Your update query has been saved. Do you want to schedule it now?”
- Click the Yes button if you wish to schedule the query. (Click the
No
button if you do not wish to schedule the query.)
- The Schedule This Report dialog displays.
- Change the query scheduling options as desired, then click the Schedule button to save your changes.
