CAT ADMINISTRATION
Chapter 9. CUSTOMER SUPERUSER
Using the Smart Application Group Editor (SAGE)
The Smart Application Group Editor (SAGE) supports "group" (batch) editing of Item, User or Acquisitions Order records. SAGE facilitates the creation of "search queries" to determine the matching criteria for candidate records, and generates a "results set" based on the specified criteria. Individual records can be manually selected for removal from the results set if necessary. Once the final "processing set" has been defined, multiple fields within the records can be defined for modification or editing. At the conclusion of processing, a summary report is generated.
To access the Smart Application Group Editor:
-
From the CAT Admin menu, select SAGE.
- The Smart Application Group Editor screen displays.
- The screen lists all currently defined queries, and shows the Report Name, the staff member the query was Created By, the date on which the query was created (Created Date), the type of records the query is configured to modify (File Modified), and the date of the Next Run for the query.
- To re-sort the list:
- Position the cursor on the column head by which you wish to sort the list; then click the Sort Order Menu icon to display the Sort Options menu.
- Select the desired sort order from the Sort Options menu; either Sort Ascending or Sort Descending.
- The selected column is highlighted, and an icon displays in the column head to indicate the order in which the list is sorted; ascending () or descending ().
- To return the list to the default sort order, position the cursor on the column head by which the list is currently sorted, then click the Sort Order Menu icon to display the Sort Options menu. Select Remove Sort from the Sort Options menu.
- From the Smart Application Group Editor screen, you may:
- Create a new query (see Creating a New Query for details)
- Edit the parameters for an existing query (see Editing an Existing Query for details)
- Schedule and/or run an existing query (see Scheduling and Running an Existing Query for details)
