Viewing Items Out

You can view a list of items currently checked out to your account.

To view Items Out:

• Select Your Items – Items Out from the Your Account menu (see Using Your Account for details).
  • The Items Out screen displays. The total number of items currently checked out to your account (excluding “lost” or “claimed returned” items) is shown at the top of the screen (see Viewing Lost Items for more information).

• The Items Out screen shows a listing of all items currently checked out to your account. Each entry in the list shows “jacket art” for the associated title, and includes the Title, Author and call Number for the item; the date on which the item was checked out (dateOut); the date on which the item is due for return (dateDue) and the amount of any fine associated with the item.
• The status field may show the number of times the loan period for the item has been renewed (e.g., Renewed: 1 of 5), if the renewal limit has been exceeded (Over Limit), the number or active “soft” reserves placed against an item (e.g., 2 Reserved) or if the item is Overdue.

NOTE: In cases where an item is overdue, the dateDue, fine and status fields are shown in red type.

• Click an item in the list (for items checked out through your library or through Hoopla) to view the Full Record Display for the title (see Full Record Display and Hoopla Full Record Display for details).

  NOTE: You cannot view the Full Record Display for items check out through OverDrive.

  • Click the Go back link to return to the Items Out screen.
• If desired, use the FilterBy menu to configure the list to show All items, or to limit the list to Library Items Only.
• If desired, use the SortBy menu to re-sort the list by Title, Call Number, Date Out, Status, Author, Date Due, Material or Issue.

  NOTE: The default sort order for the Items Out screen is Title.

• In cases where more than 40 items are checked out to your account, use the <Previous, Next> and “page number” links to view other pages of the list.
• If your library has enabled the “Patron Self-Renewal” feature, you can renew the loan period for one or more items currently on loan (see Renewing a Loan for details).

NOTE: Renewals may be prohibited on items for which active “soft” reserves are present.

• For items checked out from Hoopla:
  • Click the Get (format) button to open the Hoopla “checked out response” page. The Hoopla “checked out response” page opens in an additional browser tab or window.
  • Click the Early Return button to return the title prior to the due date. The message “Your request to return this item was successfully completed.” Shows briefly at the top of the screen.
• To exit the Items Out screen, select another option from the Your Account menu, or, click the Home button in the Your Account menu to return to your library’s “Home” page.
