Editing Database Descriptions

You can edit an existing database description for a resource.

NOTE: You must be logged in as a Customer SuperUser or Library SuperUser to edit database descriptions for system-level resources. Library SuperUsers and PAC Staff members can edit database descriptions for resources defined at the local level.

To edit database descriptions:

  1. Access the Public Search Resources screen (see Viewing System-Wide Resources for details).
  2. In the Note column, click the Edit Resource Note icon Edit Resource Note Icon to the right of the resource for which you wish to edit a database description.
    • The Define Resource Note screen displays in an additional browser window.
  3. Scroll to the Define Resource description field and add or edit information in the database description as desired (see Adding a Database Description for details).
  4. When all desired information has been entered, click the Submit button to save your changes to the database description.
