UX ADMINISTRATION
Chapter 4. WORKING WITH PAGES
Working with Components
“Components” are informational or pictorial elements that can be selectively added to pages created in UX Administration. Each page block on a page template will contain a specified component. Nine types of components are available:
NOTE: Depending on the size of a given page block, one or more component types may not be available.
- Call to Action – lets you add a “Call To Action” to a page to prompt your library’s patrons to respond to a specific need, concern or condition.
- Image Block – lets you add a photograph or other image to a page.
- List Carousel – lets you highlight selected items from you library’s catalog (for VERSO systems) or the Union catalog for your consortium (for RESEARCHit/SHAREit systems) using titles saved to a list through the “Your Lists” function (see the RESEARCHit Search User Guide or VERSO Search User Guide for more information).
- Showcase Carousel – lets you highlight selected items from you library’s catalog (for VERSO systems) or the Union catalog for your consortium (for RESEARCHit/SHAREit systems) using a “search query” you create to retrieve the desired items for display.
- Popular Carousel – lets you highlight popular titles in your library’s catalog (determined by the number of holds or requests for the title)
- Feed Back – lets you create forms for use by library patrons in submitting questions, comments and suggestions.
- Text Block – lets you add “informative” text to a page.
- Topic Search – lets you create “preconfigured” searches based on a specified set of search parameters.
- Embed Web Link – lets you embed an external web page in a page.
