The Staff Functions Menu
The Staff Functions menu is shown on all Full Record Displays. The menu provides access to features and functions available with CAT Administration.
To use the Staff Functions menu:
- Features and functions available through the Staff Functions menu are described below:
Staff Functions Menu
- Download Record - Lets you download the currently displayed record, in MARC 21 format, to a local workstation (see Downloading Single Records for details).
- Add Item – Lets you add a new item record to the currently active bibliographic record (see Adding an Item for details).
- Add to Download Cart - Lets you add the currently displayed record, in MARC 21 format, to the Download Cart for your user account (see Downloading Multiple Records for details).
- Authorize Bib Record - Performs authority control processing for the currently active bibliographic record. (see the Authority Control User Guide for details).
NOTE: Authority Control is optional and may not be enabled for all systems.
- Edit Bib Record - Lets you edit the bibliographic record for the currently displayed title using the AGCat Cataloging Client (see About AGCat for details).
